sprunki pyramixed 0.9: Your First Time Making "Music" Without Knowing Music
Hey so my friend showed me this thing last week and I was like "what even is this?" #5 "I have a bookmark folder just for Sprunki mods. It's getting concerning." But then I tried it and... okay it's actually kinda fun?
If you've never played one of these before (like me, until recently), here's what it is: you click colorful little guys and they make sounds. That's it. Difficulty levels? Nope. #178 "The UI has a border that doesn't match anything else." But that's part of the charm? I think?
I use this when I need background noise but don't want actual music. Like, music with lyrics distracts me, but this... this is just beeps and boops. Genres? #299 "Sounds like a robot trying to remember a dream it had." So I guess that's a genre now? "Robot dream music."
Challenge: make something that makes you smile. In under a minute. I did it! Sort of. I clicked the orange guy, then the blue swirly thing, then the green... blob? And it made this noise that reminded me of my old computer starting up. #431 "Like someone made music from the sounds of a computer booting." I laughed. Mission accomplished.
Exporting mixes? Hah. No. You just... make the sound and enjoy it. Then it's gone. Like a digital sand mandala. Compared to simpler versions, this has more options but honestly I just click randomly and sometimes magic happens. #76 "Someone made a Sprunki iceberg meme. The bottom layer is terrifying." I'm definitely still in the top layer.
My cat walked across my keyboard while I was playing and actually made a better combo than I did. So that's my review: cat-approved beep boop game. Good for when your brain needs to do something that isn't thinking.
Just don't think about it too hard. Click the things. Hear the sounds. Maybe you make something funny. Probably you make noise. That's the whole thing. And you know what? That's enough sometimes.
