Sprunki Phase 24 Original
So You Found Phase 24 Original, Huh?
Okay, real talk – if you're coming from Phase 3 or that super popular Pyramixed thing, this one's... different. Not better or worse, just its own weird little corner of the Sprunkiverse. I was clicking around during my coffee break (which got extended by, like, 15 minutes, oops) and stumbled back into it.
First thing you'll notice? The color scheme is kinda muted. More pastels, less neon assault. It feels... older. In a good way? Maybe. My friend Dave said it looks like “a kindergarten teacher’s idea of a music app,” which is harsh but not entirely wrong. Anyway, let's talk about what you can actually do.
The “Three-Icon Challenge” Is Weirdly Fun Here
Someone on a forum (maybe Reddit?) dared people to make a full loop with only three icons in this version. I tried it. It's actually possible, and it forces you to listen to the sounds properly instead of just mashing.
My go-to lazy combo? The blue droplet thing (top row, second from left – or is it third? I never remember), the yellow... fella that looks like a sad trumpet, and that green bouncing ball at the bottom. Drag them in that order. You get this plinky, watery rhythm that’s perfect for pretending you’re in a cafe. Or, you know, just spacing out for 5 minutes between tasks. The average play session for me is exactly that – one coffee break's worth.
What makes this phase unique in the whole Sprunki series, though? Hmm. It’s not the flashiest. It doesn’t have a million secret characters like some later versions. But the layering. Oh man, the layering feels smoother. How many audio layers can you mix? I think it’s 7 or 8 simultaneously? It handles them without getting muddy, even when you go overboard. Unlike that one version that shall not be named where everything turns into sonic soup.
Here's a personal gripe: I hate the “whoosh” sound effect when you clear the board. It's too loud! Why is it so aggressive? Everyone else seems to love it. Whatever. My loss.
Hidden Detail No One Talks About
This is the “discovery” part. See that grayish, dusty-looking character in the back row? If you tap it really fast three times in a row (not drag, just tap), it sometimes does a different, quieter hiccup sound instead of its usual thump. It’s inconsistent! Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Feels like a bug they just left in. I love stuff like that – makes it feel alive, not just a perfect product.
Also, the background animation has this barely noticeable pulsing that matches the tempo of your first placed icon. Took me ages to see it. Probably doesn't matter, but it's a nice touch. Or maybe I just stared at the screen too long.
So yeah. Sprunki Phase 24 Original. It’s not the one you hype to your friends. It’s the one you load up when you just want to tinker without thinking too hard. The sounds are more… organic? Less synthetic. Makes me think of old music boxes and faulty air conditioners in a strangely pleasant way.
Give it a shot. Or don't. If you're looking for chaos, go play that other version. If you want something that feels like a dusty vinyl sample pack come to life, this is your jam. Or not-jam. You decide.
Final verdict: 7/10. Solid B-tier Sprunki. Does its job. Won't blow your mind, but won't annoy you either (except for that clear-board whoosh).
