sprunki definitive phase 7 remix
Ok, So About That "Squish" Sound...
So, I was messing around with Sprunki Definitive Phase 7 Remix last night—you know, the one everyone says is just a rehash?—and I think I broke it. Or found a secret. Not sure which.
Let me back up. I was trying to make a sound like my old fridge humming. You know, that low, persistent buzz? Yeah, weird goal. Anyway, I was dragging icons, getting nowhere. Then I held the pink one, the blobby one that usually goes "splorch" or whatever. Usually you just click it. But if you hold your mouse down on it and drag it reeeeally slowly across the screen before letting go… the pitch drops. Like, a lot. It goes from a cartoon splat to this weird, elongated, almost groaning sound.
My friend Dave said it sounded like a tape deck dying. I’ll take it. That’s my fridge.
Which brings me to the point: what are people actually making with this thing? I peeked at some forums (don’t judge). Apparently, the current top “popular combo” is something like: Blue Droplet (fast tap) -> Green Swirl (hold for a sec) -> Yellow Spark (double click). They call it the “Static Rain” mix. I tried it. It’s okay. Sounds more like radio interference during a storm, which is cool, I guess. Personally, I think the volume sliders for each track are the real game-changer here—way more than in the vanilla Phase 7. You can bury one sound way in the back, makes everything feel… deeper. Or just messier. Depends on the day.
Look, It’s Not Pro Tools
Let’s be real. If you’re comparing this to a proper DAW, just… don’t. It’s like comparing a kazoo to a symphony orchestra. But sometimes you just want the kazoo, you know? Today felt like a kazoo day.
The quality is… fine? It’s a browser game. It sounds like a browser game. Some of the samples have that crunchy, compressed vibe that’s either charming or annoying. Right now, I find it charming. Might change tomorrow.
Anyway. The pink icon trick. Try it. If you hate it, sorry. If you love it, you’re welcome. I’m going back to trying to make my fridge symphony. It’s still not right.
P.S. There’s a screenshot where I almost got the combo right. The green one looks cool there, I think.
