Purple A Platformer: Monochrome Precision in 9 Levels
Developed in just two days by @--200Volts--, Purple A Platformer draws direct inspiration from the Monochramatic studio aesthetic. Despite the rapid production timeline, the game delivers 9 fully playable levels (a 10th is labelled but presented as a "fun" bonus). The developer has committed to post-launch updates including additional stages and abilities.
Platform-Aware Control Scheme
PC configuration: Move with Left/Right arrows or A/D keys; jump via Up arrow or W key.
Mobile/touch configuration: Tap the left screen zone to move left, right zone to move right, and the top zone to jump. This zone-based system eliminates virtual joystick imprecision.
Survival Rule: Spikes Are Absolute
The game enforces one non-negotiable hazard rule: spikes cause instant failure. Level navigation revolves around strict spike avoidance, reinforcing the monochrome danger aesthetic.
Level Labelling Note
Levels designated V and X correspond to Roman numerals 5 and 10. This clarification, provided directly by the developer, prevents confusion for players unfamiliar with Roman numbering.
