Land of Hope: Multiplayer Scrolling Platformer with Achievement-Based Rewards

Land of Hope is a multiplayer scrolling platformer designed to be mobile friendly. Players navigate spikes, deep water, and various obstacles while completing achievements to unlock exclusive emotes. Achievements persist even when restarting the game; if specific "beat the game with a condition" achievements fail, pressing the green flag resets the attempt.

Extensive Controls & Interface

Controls include WASD or arrow keys for movement, Space for the emote shortcut, R for the warp menu, E for the emote menu, and U to toggle rendered usernames (off by default to reduce lag). Mobile players will need to adapt touch controls independently. The game uses @griffpatch's cloud engine, with art contributions from @Stratfordames and Freepik.

Audio & Data

The music is a fingerstyle guitar cover of OneRepublic's "Counting Stars" by James Bartholomew. Player activity data is collected for research purposes.
