sprunki pyramixed 0.9 full animated retake remix
Alright so this is the "everything but the kitchen sink" version apparently
Okay so I've played a LOT of Sprunki variants. Like, probably too many. But this one... this "Full Animated Retake Remix" thing? It's like someone took the regular Pyramixed 0.9 and said "what if we made everything move more?" and then just went completely overboard in the best way possible.
There's a weird nostalgia for early Phase versions even though they're objectively worse. Like remember when the characters just kinda... existed? No fancy animations, just static blobs that made noise? This is the complete opposite of that. Everything bounces, blinks, sways, or generally just won't sit still.
So how has the game evolved over time? Well if we're comparing this to the super basic early versions, it's like going from a flip phone to... I don't know, one of those phones that folds in three places and has seventeen cameras. The animations are smoother than they have any right to be. Someone put effort in. Like actual, genuine "I stayed up late tweaking keyframes" effort.
There's a graphical glitch when you drag too fast. Looks cool actually. Actually wait, in this version I think it might be intentional? Or at least embraced? Because the characters kinda smear across the screen when you move them quickly, like they're leaving motion trails. It's very "whoa dude" aesthetic.
What makes this unique in the Sprunki series? Well aside from the obvious animation overload, the sounds are... remixed. Like they took the original Pyramixed 0.9 sounds and put them through some filters or something. Everything has this extra layer of polish, or sometimes distortion, depending on how you look at it.
The colors give off "3 AM hyperfocus session" energy. It's very bright but in a way that feels intentional, not overwhelming. Like each character has their own color scheme that pulses with their animations. The blue one breathes, the green one vibrates, the orange one... I think it's trying to communicate with me?
Compared to simpler versions, the operation complexity is... about the same actually? You still just drag and drop. But the experience is completely different because of all the visual feedback. When you get a good rhythm going and all the characters are dancing in sync? Chef's kiss. Worth the slightly longer load time.
This sounds like a robot trying to beatbox after dental surgery. Again. But like, a robot that's had extensive physical therapy and maybe some dance lessons. The remix part means the sounds have more layers, more echoes, more... stuff going on in general. It's busy but in a good way?
I've written "click and drag" so many times the words have lost meaning. Seriously, at this point I should just have a macro. But for this version maybe it should be "click and drag and watch the pretty lights." Because honestly, half the fun is just seeing what the characters do when they're active.
So yeah, if you're the type who gets easily distracted by shiny things (guilty), this Full Animated Retake Remix is basically visual candy with a side of musical experimentation. It's not necessarily "better" than simpler versions, but it's definitely... more. Sometimes that's exactly what you want.
Final thoughts: The animations sync to the music surprisingly well. Like, disturbingly well. Either someone did a ton of work or they got really lucky with the timing. Either way, it's satisfying to watch. Just don't expect to get any actual work done while playing this.
