Shade Platformer: A Platformer Carrying an Environmental Manifesto
Shade Platformer is not just another Scratch platformer—it is a curated project by @Spectrum- that wraps real-world ecological anxiety into classic side-scrolling action. You traverse hand-drawn stages while the game asks you to consider your carbon footprint, recycling habits, and daily water usage.
Gameplay & Technical Credits
Move, jump, and explore levels built by the same developer who wrote the narrative. The custom rendering system was co-developed by @perfectpixels and @JamesOuO, solving complex Scratch rendering challenges. Original music composition by @bubblebee3 sets the contemplative tone. While the developer apologizes for typos due to rapid development, the raw passion and authentic message remain uncompromised.
The "Egg" Philosophy & Supporter Community
The game presents a powerful metaphor: compare Earth to an egg—each unit of energy consumption adds weight until the shell cracks. This ecological parable has resonated deeply with the Scratch community, earning endorsements from over 100 Scratch users including @jmanj7, @chronoguy, @DolphinRider8910, @LordOfWorlds9, and @TheBlackPlague among many others.

"The one thing we need to achieve this is YOU." — Small actions like turning off your phone, reducing screen time, and sorting recyclables are the game's true final boss.
