physics platformer editor
Physics Platformer Editor: Where Momentum Matters and Creativity Rules
Physics Platformer Editor completely abandons traditional arcade physics. This is a momentum-based movement system: once you commit to a jump, your horizontal trajectory is locked—no mid-air steering corrections. Plan your runs carefully, or face the consequences of inertia.
Core Gameplay & Controls
Arrow keys: Move character during grounded phases / Scroll through editor interface
Critical physics rule: Air control = ZERO. Jump commitment is permanent.
Six Distinct Terrain Types
- Green: Standard solid ground
- Brown: Mud—significantly reduces movement speed
- Blue: Ice—extremely low friction, momentum preservation
- Yellow: Accelerator—boosts player velocity
- Purple: Bounce pad—high vertical recoil
- Red: Lava—instant death on contact
Complete Editor Suite
The integrated editor provides full customization over:
- Background visuals
- Music tracks
- Physics parameters (gravity, friction, acceleration)
- Terrain style and placement
- Level aesthetics
Soundtrack: Music sourced from Megaman 7, adding authentic retro platformer atmosphere.
Community-Driven Content Pipeline
Exceptional user-created levels are hand-selected and patched directly into the official game. This is not a separate workshop—your best designs become part of the main experience.
