just a generic platformer v1.00
Just a Generic Platformer v1.00: Misleading Title, Monumental Challenge
@CodesNorth presents a platformer that deliberately undersells itself. Just a Generic Platformer spans 10 distinct worlds, each integrating unique minigame-style levels that break from traditional run-and-jump formulas. Difficulty is formally rated 5 out of 5 stars—the developer admits even they haven't fully beaten it.
Boss Confrontation: Two-Stage Climax
The journey culminates in a confrontation with the Generic Boss, a tyrant stifling creativity. This is no standard encounter: it unfolds across two demanding phases. Combat requires mouse clicks to swing your sword, shifting from keyboard platforming to action-oriented clicking.
Adaptive Control Scheme
While most levels rely on arrow keys, certain stages demand mouse movement or clicking. A critical, documented tip: during Level 5, position your cursor at the screen's center before the level initiates to avoid instant failure. This hybrid control design adds unpredictability.
Hall of Fame & Attribution
Victory is rare. The in-game Hall of Fame publicly lists players who have conquered the full run, including @TechnoShinobi, @Water575, and @nxrate_an. This transparency reinforces the game's notorious difficulty.
All art assets and code are original to @CodesNorth and available for use with proper credit. A comprehensive sound/music credits section acknowledges Kevin MacLeod, Mixkit, Tunetank, Undertale (Hotel, Ghost Fight), and The Impossible Quiz, among others. Full attribution demonstrates best practices for asset usage.
