Explorer: A Platformer - 20 Levels of Obstacle-Filled Action
Explorer: A Platformer offers 20 levels of obstacle-filled action with full cross-platform support. Players can use arrow keys, WASD, or mobile touch controls to navigate. Core hazards include spikes, a patrolling enemy, and enemy-fired arrows.
Precision Keyboard Controls
For precision control, keyboard shortcuts are implemented: R restarts the current level, typing SKIP sequentially advances to the next stage, M mutes audio, and U unmutes. The credits section is interactive—scrolling down reveals more information, and pressing the credits button again returns to gameplay. The developer openly notes that enemy spawns may occasionally have a 1-second delay, a known glitch being actively addressed.
Community & Credits
Despite self-described "bad art," the game has garnered community support with loves and faves from users like @krishtheking123 and @Lukas1410. Code contributions come from @JS_Coder, who also provided music; arrow costumes from @Will_wam; player costumes and a love/favorite detector from @TimMcCool; and scrolling mouse functionality from @--ignition--. A community raffle is also running alongside the project. Released May 9, 2020, all 20 levels are confirmed possible. For players who enjoy keyboard-driven platformers, Geometry Dash Scratch offers similar precision.
