divine skies a multiplayer scrolling platformer
Divine Skies - Multiplayer Scrolling Platformer with Chat
Divine Skies breaks the solitary platformer mold by introducing real-time multiplayer scrolling. Re-shared to integrate cooperative play, fresh stages, and a mystery feature, this iteration invites you to beat the clock—23.2 seconds is the benchmark.
Controls & Multiplayer Interaction
Navigate using Arrow Keys or WASD. Encounter a collision bug? Tap R to respawn. The standout social mechanic allows you to click any player mid-game to open a chat interface; a second click dismisses it. Communicate strategies or simply hang out while collecting coins.
Checkpoints & Progression
Strategically placed checkpoints prevent total restart upon failure. Gather all coins to complete the scenic flight through divine-themed levels. If the in-game timer fails to initialize, click the green flag again to force-start.
Credits & Technical Backbone
@StratfordJames contributed the prominent big tree art and engine optimizations. @TheCactusMaster and @griffpatch supplied the core scrolling engine. @talexat provided flag sprites. @TimMcCool's love-fave detector was initially implemented but later excised to avoid abuse reports. All other assets and glue code are self-credited.
