Courage - The Platformer – Emotional Narrative Meets Precision Jumping
Courage - The Platformer transforms emotional narrative into mechanical challenge. You control the Little Cube, stranded far from home, hope fading. Each level represents a step toward rebuilding courage, with obstacles symbolizing real-world struggles. The end goal is a yellow circle—reaching it advances both the stage and the story.
Complete Keyboard Controls (Mobile Not Supported)
Controls are standard but complete: Up or W to jump, Left/A and Right/D for horizontal movement, Down or S to crouch under low ceilings, and R to instantly reset a level. Mobile devices are not supported; a keyboard is required. Every level is carefully playtested and confirmed possible—the developer explicitly states "just don't give up."
Physics Origin & Music Credits
The core physics script originates from "Normal - A platform" by JS_Coder, adapted here with permission and inspiration. Background music links to a YouTube track sourced via Scratch community member bentshaggyoil. Visuals remain minimal, focusing attention on jump arcs and enemy placement.
Story Integration & Developer Message
Story integration sets this title apart. Rather than abstract score attack, progression carries emotional weight. The cube’s journey mirrors the creator’s personal experiences, communicated through level geometry rather than cutscenes. A short, sincere experience designed to leave players feeling that difficulty and hope are intertwined.
