cloud platformer multiplayer
Cloud Platformer Multiplayer - Real-Time Online Scrolling Platformer
Technical Architecture: 100% solo-developed cloud multiplayer implementation. Modified cloud list data structure for real-time state synchronization. Vector sprite rendering with Stage3D compatibility limitations noted. HTTP fallback support integrated.
Compare with other multiplayer platformers and cloud-based Scratch games on our platform.
Experimental Features System
Hold Z while clicking green flag to toggle experimental feature set. Activation confirmation message displayed. Recommended to remain enabled. Features include:
- Smoother framerate
- Enhanced online connectivity stability
- HTTP fallback protocol
- Reduced error code frequency
Deactivation may require multiple restart attempts.
Current Bug Status & User Feedback Request
Active solicitation for error code reporting in comments. Known issues with loa error during load and multiplayer sessions. Root cause identified as Scratch runtime throttling when project tab inactive. Fix implementation added to experimental features branch. User verification requested for regression testing.
Multiplayer Functionality
Real-time player presence. Simultaneous navigation with other online users. Arrow key movement synchronization. Background player visibility.
Chat System
Press C key to toggle chat interface. Spacebar transmits message when chat active. Punctuation support fully implemented. Undisplayed text reporting mechanism for word list optimization.
Performance Requirements
Project must remain foreground tab during loading and gameplay. Background tab operation triggers loa error code. Turbo mode strictly prohibited. Stage3D incompatibility documented due to large vector sprite handling limitations.
Development Roadmap
- World expansion: Partially complete
- Interactivity enhancements: Planned
- Player profile system: In development
